A cultocracy—a.k.a. fascism—succeeds by undermining reality with gaslighting, conspiracy, and mythology. Avoid the Sirens calling for Dems to jettison marginalized groups for broader appeal—it's a moral war, not a cultural one.

Ok, lets break down what Schumer and other centrist Dem Senators are about to do. The first thing to understand is Republicans are no longer subject to the filibuster in any practical sense.
Being poor is profanely expensive.

There's a telling dynamic unfolding in MAGA world where the Q-Anons and White Nationalists are struggling with the Epstein clusterfuck. For the grifting class driving engagement on SM, the question comes down to which side of the grift to play:

The four Dems that voted for the SAVE Act provide a backdrop that helps explain why the party never seems to get traction in the absence of a catastrophic Republican fuck-up.

Two talking points distracting from the real fight:

1. What Trump is doing is stupid.

Trump himself is pathologically ignorant, but he’s just a face-painted clown distracting from the organized attack designed to hand power to the P2025/Randian techbros driving this administration.

The chaos in this admin's first two months meets at an inescapable motivation: the destruction of governance "of, by, and for" the people. But, while Trump has the cunning to exploit weakness and create chaos, he can’t see beyond his insatiable need for attention.

To those who accepted the profound life-or-death responsibility of protecting your community or this country, now is the time to decide if you stand with “We the People” and the Constitution or will blindly follow an administration increasingly undermining the trust necessary for a free nation.

A Republican Vignette:

The work to keep the idea of America alive is often difficult. It takes courage and humility to accept differences that challenge our feral distrust. But the idea that “all men are created equal”, stated simply and forthrightly in our Declaration of Independence, is the essence of our promise.
March 18, 2025 at 6:09 AM
Just a thought: We should start/pick an independent "We the People" PAC with its own hats/tees/bumper stickers to both show our numbers while out and about and to create a pool of money separate from the Dem Party to make available to the candidates fighting the good fight.

In Trump’s first term, on his first day in office, he shoved Spicer onto the stage to tell a gaslighting lie so ludicrous, that it could only be seen as a challenge to reason and a test of loyalty.

With all this insanity surrounding Trump’s trade wars, maniacal tariffs, and attacks on our trading partners, just a quick primer on fiat currency. We have zero trade imbalances. One of the “products” we trade is our currency.

The Moment

Dems have been given the opportunity of our lifetimes to create a movement bigger than tax rates and egg prices. Republicans have fully capitulated to a sociopathic ideology where the owner of Wapo says the opinion section will be confined to “personal freedom” and “free markets”.
March 11, 2025 at 3:43 PM
Our window to make enough noise to slow this dystopian tumble into a unique blend of American horrors—Christian Nationalism, Randian libertarian techno-sociopathy, our ongoing plutocratic slide, etc.—is closing fast.

The Eternal Incoherence of the Dem Mind
Bernie attracts much of the Rogan/Pederson crowd by being sincerely and consistently anti-Corporatocracy. However, when these supporters showed up behind him, they brought their misogyny and homophobia with them tarnishing Bernie’s image in the process.

Here's the thing about Newsome: He isn't agreeing with some sober analysis of the impact of trans women in sports, he's agreeing with the Willie Horton ad:
bsky.app/profile/jgt1...
If you set aside the odiousness of adding more fuel to the fire burning the trans community at the stake, he gave his tacit approval for the tactic Rs have used for decades to create their Orc Army. DEI, CRT, immigrant crime, abortions at nine months—it's all rotten fruit from the same tree.
March 7, 2025 at 6:37 PM
Today I was hit with Gavin Newsome trying to “reach out” by throwing the trans community under the bus while talking with Charlie Kirk, FFS. That was closely followed by the TikTok of the “fighters” bouncing as if in a video game.

If I had any say in the Democratic Party, I would be enlisting Senators and Reps to schedule outdoor rallies/townhalls at every state school across the nation:

Trump says federal funding will stop for colleges, schools allowing 'illegal' protests
President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that all federal funding will stop for colleges and schools that allow "illegal" protests and that agitators will be imprisoned or sent back to the country they came from.

What just happened:

Trump profoundly weakened both Ukraine’s position against Russia and the free world’s position against those who wish to see it dismantled. He intentionally instilled fear both at home and with our allies by echoing Putin's nuclear threat so he could gain favor with a despot.
March 1, 2025 at 5:45 AM
I’ve been fixated since the beginning of the Trump era on how his rhetoric speaks directly to lizard-brained incoherent fear, distrust, and anger and gives his insanity a veil of “truthiness”.
February 25, 2025 at 4:25 PM
This Trump term is the final stand for a cabal of hubristic endgames. Trump is unique in this group with his purely self-centered pathological narcissism with no larger ideology than ego. Then there’s the Musk tribe of Randian Ubermenschen modernized with their tech dystopia.

To democraticgovernors.org,
Below is a question I just asked of my Governor, Katie Hobbs. I don't see a way to reach you directly at the above website, so I'm posting it here in the very remote chance you'll see it. Any feedback would be gratefully received.
