There are essentially two ways to write an interesting story. 1) create compelling characters and then start writing them into scenarios to see what narrative evolves (Napoleon Dynamite approach) or 2) create an interesting plot device and figure out the characters secondarily (Hitchcock approach)

I think I find a new song to obsess over every 2 months, but I feel like there must be enough out there that I should be able to discover something new every day. I want to know how to increase my rate of discovery, because the algos aren't cutting it.

People really spend a lot of time on Netflix, huh. I sink all of my time (way too much of my time) on YouTube.

Can't imagine a Thomas Newman score to a Star Wars film. That's going to be quite a style challenge for him. www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2025/11/thom...

This vote has not happened yet. Call your Senators, especially your Democratic Senators, and tell them that a deal without protection NOW for health insurance tax credits is unacceptable.

Predator: Badlands is very good. It feels like a live action comic book. 8.5/10

Death by Lightning is extremely my kind of sh*t. This deserves a better music score though.

I noped out of a flight next week because I'm too worried about air travel right now. The Republicans control everything. They have to figure things out and get people paid.

Happened to walk by the Sliwa office when they found out Trump endorsed Cuomo. They huddled outside for some reason and were on speaker phone sharing the news in total disbelief. I had a good chuckle.

Two facts I learned from marrying a dietitian, which should have been obvious, but weren't for me: 1) oil is fat. when you cook with oil, you are adding fat to your meal. 2) milk is fat and sugar. when you add milk to your coffee, you are adding fat and sugar 🤯

I have noticed, as my vision ages, certain comic design choices, like small text or shaky hand-lettering, while often full of character and clever and content appropriate, simply cause too much strain to read. It's sad, but maybe also something to consider when you are designing your next project.

All these AI systems are just average-ers. The best they can ever do is average, and that's assuming it has been trained on an enormous library of, let's face it, likely stolen assets.
