Thank you! I've been screaming this from the rooftops for the last month. Lower the barriers. Give it all away. Especially all you big foundations who talk so much about equity and justice (Mellon, Ford, Knight, Mackenzie Scott, etc). Give. It. Away.

Adam. We know how bad it is. It's so bad that you should be doing more than "speaking out" and telling your constituents how bad it is. You all have access to spaces the rest of us do not. Bring things to a standstill with civil disobedience until the illegal shenanigans stop.

Do you expect your constituents to put their butts on the line, with acts of civil disobedience, while you follow the rules & "speak out?" It's gonna take more than voting "no" on this budget. Chain yourselves to the chamber doors. Use your bodies to prevent a vote until the illegal takeover stops.

I made a film in 2006 about the entire state of Oaxaca shutting everything down for 6 months because their governor was corrupt. One strategy was to occupy and operate radio stations. Women schoolteachers occupied the state TV station! Inspiring to witness but hard knowing it wouldn't happen here.
