Conservative turned progressive. Apparently, too many people care about their own wallet and not if a wanna-be dictator, corrupt, convicted felon, moron ruins the economy and abuses their power.
Some Dems do not support abolishing ICE, some want to radically reform it, and some do want to abolish ICE. They can be influenced. If as you say the majority of the US wants it abolished then they will respond. It may not be fully abolished at one time, but it can be reduced significantly.

You think a revolution isn’t going to be crushed by a regime that has pushed out all the ethical military leadership and replaced them with right wing loyalist? If we do not take back Congress this election then there is not going to be a revolution that results in a better gov than we already have.

I think some were really Republicans like Manchin & Sinema. I think others were lied to about the problems being less than what was reality. And others were just corrupt. Dems are not perfect by far. There will be no revolution if Republicans take complete control. We will become just like Russia.

Look, ICE absolutely has abused its authority through out its existence. Whenever those abuses have come to light, Democrats have moved to make changes. It absolutely has been changed in the last year to be far worse for people of all colors. At this point I agree that it should be abolished.

ICE was created in 2003 under George Bush. Until Trump it mostly carried out its duties within the Constitution. What is happening now is far beyond anything that happened before and it’s because Trump got elected.

We certainly wouldn’t have ICE running around shooting people with impunity. We wouldn’t have the threats to breaking NATO apart and lawless attacks on boats from Venezuela. She is much closer to left and could be worked on and if not her then the next if you could just accept incremental change.

Nope, what’s resulted in the mess we have today is Russian and billionaire bots and purists discouraging others from voting. The right has worked 40+ years to move things incrementally to get where we are today. The left keeps thinking if they can’t overturn it all then it isn’t worth it.

And the man was not protesting. He was simply observing and recording in public. Which is not a violation of any law federal or local.

I read it and I do not see where it requires a specific program to offer equal time. I also see it requires cable providers to offer equal time just as a broadcaster. I get the distinction that Fox News is considered a program and not a provider even though it has its own channel.

Except that it does apply to Cable providers. How is that different from Broadcasters and not specific programs like late night talk shows? I know you’re saying the FCC is abusing the rule, but it does apply to media outlets like broadcast & cable as well and not specific programs.

Democrats need to put together a tv, radio, streaming/social media campaign targeted to reduce states featuring every time Republicans have sabotaged and cut healthcare. This needs to be put on repeat across all media. Why do democrats let republicans get away with lying to their constituents?

They absolutely have no reason to be firing their weapons at all. People evading capture are not subject to death sentences. Every single agent who fires a gun should be arrested themselves and put on trial.

He would work with Congress to set more appropriate funding based on a revised scope of authority. Unfortunately, if Congress remains in Republicans hands that will be significantly limited.

No he would not! Sure he wouldn’t abolish ICE, but he would absolutely cut the funding reduce their forces and stop the aggressive tactics. He would absolutely end the “War Department” and stop the attacks. He would bring in people actually qualified to the cabinet.

No he is not and never was capable of running the country. He was profoundly unqualified in 2016 and even more so after instigating an attack on Jan 6th, taking and sharing classified docs after leaving office, and 34 felony convictions. He is controlled by billionaire elites and Russia.

Well I am hoping beyond hope here, that if there are GOP against sending in troops, that they would not wait until after it happens. If they’re going to do it they need to remove the tumor which is already well beyond malignant.

Seriously, he needs to be impeached for using tariffs to try and force allies to give up Greenland. This is flat out abuse of power and treason.

Because it is clear that Putin has control over Trump. There are absolutely other puppet masters like Musk, Theil, and other billionaire elites. However, the threats to NATO and Greenland, the push for Ukraine to fully accept all of Russia’s terms for a false peace, that’s all Putin.

Only 5% of the people detained have any violent criminal background. The overwhelming majority are ordinary folks, mothers, fathers, uncles, aunts, sisters, and brothers. Most who are working hard or going to school to try and be productive. They pay taxes and contribute to our economy, not take.

And part of what training they do receive, they are also being told that they are immune and to be aggressive. The lack of proper training is by design.
