I hope not. They don't work well enough and are getting even worse. Maybe if the target language is EN it is less visible, but translating from EN keeps deforming my native language (before AI, only bad translators did that, now it is widespread, cause all use it and consider some oddities a norm).

You do need to understand EN pretty well to even search your research topic. The additional publishing costs are bigger issue, as you are always offered (somet. mandatory) payed editing services all the time. To publish in both EN and native language is not usually an issue.

What does that even mean? I was never unsure about my gender, but I always disliked "girl haircut" and kept mine short and practical.
Can't a girl walk into a hairdressers and ask for a short haircut? And can't boys have a long hair? Or they only can't, if they call it gender affirming? How absurd.
