Londoner with an Amsterdam heart. More left than right. Love rock music, cats, wine, history, Italy. Proud to be a Rockie (if you know what that is). Not a fan of conspiracy theories.
Very little sympathy for Michelle Mone, but it is a bit rich for Kemi Badenoch to criticise her.

It was the Tory government who came up with the controversial “VIP-Lane”, which was designed to facilitate this kind of corruption.

In the Dutch legal system jury trials do not exist.

There is no evidence that the lack of a jury leads to more injustice.

In my opinion courts in the Netherlands actually make better decisions.

Trump’s only economic success so far has been that the price of gasoline has come down. You can argue over whether he had anything to do with it, but it happened.

His attacks on Iran may kill off that achievement as well.

Great start as an MP, Sarah: your own chair calling you “dumb”.

Oh, and by the way, burqa’s are about as common as live T-Rexes in the UK, and a lot less dangerous. They are a complete non-problem.

Why is Ofcom even having these meetings? The Online Safety Act or the treatment of anti-abortion protesters who break the law is none of their effing business.

Here’s one more from Alessa Lamborghini. One of her best in my opinion.

Alessa Lamborghini is an artist I created on Spotify, Youtube, Apple etc. using AI.

She has two albums out and I think some songs are genuinely good, e.g. open.spotify.com/track/4CvwKT...

What do you think? Is music great on its own account, or does this depend on how it is created?

Without making light of the tragedy behind femicide, I do not find this headline particularly revealing, given that about 1 in 8 women in the UK is over 70.

Trump is forcing Europe to quickly scale up its own defence capabilities.

That may seem a good thing for the US, but it also means less US influence in Europe.

A similar thing is happening in countries that used to rely on USAID.

Trump is rapidly losing US influence on the world stage.

Great fun today singing with Rock Choir to the runners in The London Winter Run.

Finished off with a short gig on Trafalgar Square near the finish.

I have done this run myself a few years ago and I know how much these performances can lift your spirits as a runner.

An all out feelgood event

Reposting this because it scares the shit out of me
In the next 4 years most Americans will not be deported, need an abortion, be impacted by a school shooting or an extreme weather event, need cancer treatment or expensive drugs or be attacked by Russia, China or Israel.

In 2028 they may all think that the second 4 years of Trump weren’t so bad.

Trump promised that the US would be respected again if he was elected.

And the US is respected now.

In the same way you would respect a gorilla who is high on crack and waving a machete around in your living room…
