And it likely will kill us.
Just two humans. Doing our very best.
A gentle reminded that Achewillow has always been and will always be 100% made by humans.

The good news is that, within a few short years, people will be using AI to generate their own custom Mr Beast videos that feature Mr Beast, but don’t profit Mr Beast, all without Mr Beast’s involvement.

Progress!

No one needs these books anymore. The genre has since spawned far better tales. And most aren’t used in the service of attacking women and the trans community.
San Francisco bookstore stops selling J.K. Rowling titles due to 'Harry Potter' author's anti-trans views

“When the author of a book states that all sales of those books will contribute to an anti-trans fund, the only way we can choose not to participate is by not selling the books any longer.”

In a post on its Instagram account, the Booksmith team said Rowling’s new "women's fund" was the last straw.

@daniora.bsky.social is so much better at keeping track of dates, events, and milestones. And this is an important one.

Here’s to our first of many decades of creative collaboration!
Ten years ago today, @jfdubeau.bsky.social and I released our first podcast episode. Since then we’ve collaborated on easily over 350 episodes over three different shows. And the number of future episodes and other projects we have going on in the background means we’ll be at this for a while.

How about we rename Google to Ask Jeeves.

- fun and retro
- it feels more personal to say “let me Ask Jeeves”
- no one asked for this pointless change, least of all Google

Believe in yourself like Elon Musk believes he’s a net positive for humanity.

Don’t be afraid to get delusional with it.

Remember when they were cramming pointless clocks into every single item with little rhyme or reason?

This is what AI feels like right now.

So, my big thing, my important project, is the @achewillow.bsky.social podcast.

It's a little story about an aspiring cook who discovers her heritage as a kitchen witch. It's a little Twin Peaks, a little Chocolate, and a very, tiny bit Hellraiser.

Do publishers not realize that they’re speed running their own obsolescence?

They think THEY’ll be publishing AI books? Thats like having my steak high-five me for eating the potatoes first. My dude, you are wrong about the nature of this situation.

It’s the last day. The final hour arrives. The deadline looms heavy over the horizon.

Don’t let the numbers fool you though. Every pre-order still counts. Every step towards the goal is not lost.

If you’ve been waiting or know someone who has, now’s the time.

Here’s the twist (because there’s always a twist), just because we don’t reach our target of 750 pre-orders doesn’t mean that we won’t achieve our goal of getting published.

But the closer we get, the more likely we are.

Two more days to push… we can do this.
