Since there’s just the two of us here and the in-laws are welcoming I never cook a holiday turkey. Always do something nice for us, though, and this year it’s lamb stew and buttermilk corn bread. Store bought cheesecake not pictured.

Applauding at the end of a drum solo sends a mixed message. Sure, you’re happy it’s over but you also applaud after a song you like. So it’s probably best, if in the future, we all just kind of quietly avert our eyes and pretend nothing embarrassing happened. Then go nuts when they start a song. 🙈🥁

Had some leftover sauce from chicken cacciatore a while back so I froze it. Dug it out today, added some hamburger and made some spaghetti. It may look a tad pale but with the extra veggie chunks and and infused with all that chickeny gelatine from the previous slow braise it was very, very tasty. 🤤

Any director would be happy to have one of these movies these movies on their IMDB page. Rob Reiner has all seven of them. The really amazing part is that they were his FIRST seven. 🤯

Just heard that Joe Ely died. He first came on my musical radar when The Clash had him open some dates for them. One of the best Texas songwriters ever, and that’s a saying a lot.
