catalan-murcian señor researcher. I do very basic things about circadian rhythms and mechanics at @ibecbarcelona.eu under the umbrella of @xaviertrepat.bsky.social.
It's 2025 and I just realised that "Materials and Methods" were originally two separate sections

Why buy Christmas trees when you can "grow" one using micropatterning and @alleninstitute.bsky.social cells that come with their own LaminB1 "ornaments"?

Happy #FluorescenceFriday! ✨❄️

Intestinal organoids are beautiful, but you are so easily distracted from your scientific focus. Now it's been quite a few days just looking at this hypnotic fusion between a mature organoid and a cyst. One of the things I'm wondering about is what's happening to cell identity after fusion.

I'm very possibly not talented enough to get an ERC, but it's quite frustrating to be considered by 🇪🇺 an elderly person before my 40s because I decided to go for a risky 2nd postdoc and needed a bit of time to take off.
Congrats to all the @ERC_Research #ERCCoG awardees. But how many diverse and talented scientists did we lose simply because they did their first PhD too long ago? It’s good to see more women but there’s more to diversity than gender, sign this if you agree: chng.it/zvm4fDmFdj
