Not really a central mystery the players have to solve, but lots of, like, court intrigue and stuff that leads to some big reveals and fun plot twists.

Have you tried A Court of Fey and Flowers? It’s a very specific vibe (Bridgerton-esque romance but they’re all fey creatures) done very well. Also a season with a guest DM where Brennan plays and that man is TOO GOOD at RPing romance.

And, frankly, aside from everyone agreeing that is indeed a banger, I think I deserved a prize solely for the fact that I said it word for word from memory when I was already very drunk. So there.

ALL THIS IS TO SAY: this afternoon I won the sex joke pub crawl, and I won it because someone else told a dirty joke with a religious reference and it made me remember this:

For the most part I could take or leave the “telling dirty jokes in mixed company” part, but my Houston folks know the people who lead the pub crawl and they’re great, so I tag along and get very drunk and don’t contribute much.

Also! So! At TRF there is an organized pub crawl where the idea is that you’re being a bunch of lewd bawdy drunkards (within reason) so attendees are encouraged to tell dirty jokes/limericks/pick up lines etc. and whoever tells the best one wins the pub crawl and gets a pin.

I’m SO happy with the level of poof I achieved.

ANYWAY. It is as I said a live rendition, in which the audience is very sedate and polite and quiet until about halfway through, when the singer who may or may not be Stan Rogers fucking roars COME ON, YA SISSIES and then everyone starts hooting and clapping and singing along like they should.
