After moving house and finally setting up the new studio, I’ve been able finish off this little score rework of a scene from the very awesome Minority Report. Hope you like it.

The Keylab 88 Mk3 sure does look a nice bit of gear. Arturia’s design team have done well.

Hitchcock’s “Vertigo” is ultimate film noir psychological thriller, but the score from Bernard Herrmann is a masterclass in romance.

After watching the John Williams documentary, you can really appreciate just how hard and diligently he’s been working over the years.

Four stills from a film you consider a masterpiece. No title.

On high rotation is the score to “Death Count” by Scott Glasgow. Would love a physical release of this. **insert Futurama meme of Philip J. Fry - Shut up and take my money**

The Nektar Panorama CS12 looks like a fantastic alternative to the Steinberg CC121. Being able to have tactile control of the modules and parameters within the channel strip based on the selected channel is just fantastic. The Cubase integration seems tight.

Is anyone still using actively SoundCloud to showcase your compositions? Weighing up the pros and cons and so far the benefits are minimal.

The Oppenheimer synth sound is everywhere. From EDM to pop and everything in between. Props to Ludwig G.

Maybe TikTok is ultimately the answer, but we need an alternative to Insta so we can all leave the Meta verse once and for all.

Insta nowadays really reminds me of Twitter. Full of useless ads, content from others you have zero interest in and posts which are just not even plausible.

Tonight’s celebration of joy was watching The Matrix in 4K. It is still amazing.

New Year’s resolution is to use more stock plugins, intentionally and wherever possible.

Reimagining the soundscape of Arrival. In this score rework, I’ve combined music and sound design to put my own twist on this powerful scene from the film. I recommend listening through headphones or a proper setup. Respect to Jóhann Jóhannsson.

28 Years Later was filmed entirely on a bunch of adapted iPhone 15 Pro Max devices. Now that is impressive.

28 Years Later was shot on iPhone 15 Pro Max by cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle. However, the rig seems to be ultra-expensive.

Currently having a little trial of Softube’s Flow Mastering Suite. It’s been positive so far. The concept of the mastering chain with simplified macros is a nice feature.

My score rework of a scene from Ridley Scott's "The Martian". The scene is based around Sol 494, where Watney's isolation and despair grow heavier as his mission continues. This hybrid sound blends electronic with orchestral elements to capture the solitude and resilience of Watney's journey.

Flightplan is such an understated score from James Horner. A type of “blink and you’ll miss it” scenario. The shortest cue being just over 3 minutes, with the longest being nearly 10!
