Common for Air Canada flights into Frankfurt to park at a remote stand - @yyzbound.bsky.social has parked his plane there on a few occasions. (Looks like he’s trimmed his posts so can’t link to his photos.)

Yes, you’ll get QR’s “award-winning service” but won’t get Starlink on that flight.

Whilst QR are loudly promoting the fact that it’s now installed on all of their B777 fleet… it’s missing one important detail - it’s not being installed on these leased planes.

The white livery in photo #1 is what they’ve applied to the Cathay Pacific & Virgin Australia leased planes.

Looking forward to seeing what new… erm, tree ornaments, you acquire this year 😅

Seems that’s maybe the case… and they’ll only operate to London if the follow-on order is placed.
However, 30 trains is enough only to replace the 26 TGV units used on Paris-Brussels-Amsterdam/Cologne non-London routes with a little capacity expansion. I suspect we'll only see them to/from London if they order the optional 20.

A better option would be for your bank to make the new card available to use now on Apple & Google Pay - means you can still go about your day as you normally would.

Could be pedantic and say it’s Post Office that Ian meant to type, not post office - two different things.

And some of the sender names, subject lines & content of those notifications look on the dodgy side.

Wasn’t aware Starlink satellites are coming down. Are these at end-of-life or are there issues with them?

Both those cities are in Canada. Perhaps the ill patient doesn’t have a visa to enter Canada and crew & plane logistics means passengers will endure a smaller delay by flying back to Chicago. Basically bigger picture items that won’t be apparent to most people.

All well & good, but most of their passengers, frequent flyers included, won’t know who Lufthansa Group are. They’ll assume it’s Lufthansa and not relevant to them if they’re say flying with Austrian or Swiss.

Didn’t help that their price labels were all ‘Prime member prices’ - not everyone has or wants Prime membership, so how much am I going to be charged?

At the till we found the non-members price for the 2 items we bought was the same as members price. Devious! Next hurdle, we couldn’t use Apple Pay.

That vertical bar… otherwise known as pipe in computing. 😬

And they’ve tightened up the requirement to be in the ‘home country’ more than in roaming countries. This ensures you’re not abusing free roaming by signing up for & constantly using a cheaper service from another country.
