2025 was — according to Chinese zodiac — my Ben Ming Nian (own zodiac year), a time of potential challenge but also transformation.

Lately, I’ve been considering kicking this social media habit cold turkey. Obviously, I’m still up in here.
But, I have been spending more time texting friends in lieu of scrolling a feed.
Connecting with friends feels like a much better and more sustainable source of joy.

Highlight of the morning is either feeding these guys or watching them enjoy breakfast while I eat mine. This is my neighbor who often runs across my roof.

Today was my last scheduled dance performance until 2026. My body is looking forward to a two month dance break. November & December will be filled with studying, training, healing, and plotting my artistic ambitions for the coming year.

Welp, now I can say that I have TWO acts in my repertoire that leave me emotionally spent and/or crying.
Tonight’s performance - the Broken Priest act - left me shaking and overcome with an abundance of adrenaline. I screamed and cried afterwards, but there was no pain, no sadness, just passion.
