How on Earth is it acceptable for your write-up on this decision to say that Justice Sotomayor "complained" in her dissent? I would think as a lawyer the author would have a wider vocabulary to work with. Why don't you try using the phrase "disagree" given that this is a dissent.

Stop calling Trump a king and putting a crown on him. It normalizes a dangerous idea.

I'm so glad to see this suggestion from your recent town hall being implemented!

Hubbell's article is myopic. He claims that the Constitution "survived" when we classified so many of our citizens as second class citizens. What is the meaning of the Constitution as a "moral compass" if it allows for that? We must demand better foundations if we are truly to emerge from Trumpism.

@cnn.com is such trash for putting Trump's outrageous statement at the bottom of the screen and not calling it out as a blatant lie. They will never report on him in a manner that is actually worthy of calling themselves a news network. What Merkley said won't matter when the lie is more prominent.

If Democrats want to have even a chance of governing, they need show that they are reducing corruption and are interested in governing for people, not corporations. Pass an insider trading ban for Congress, stop taking PAC money, & come up with a plan to fix the Citizens United case. Bare minimum.

I went to the Town Hall and voters are done with decorum as we slide toward a fascist oligarchy. Do the daily briefings to talk about your actions, put up billboards in GOP areas highlighting the cuts to funding for these areas, and unleash fighters like Crockett and AOC to bury the GOP lies.

Coordinating pink clothes and a podium. That'll show them it's a fight

Not only is the GOP betraying vets, but YOU are betraying us by letting them usurp Congressional powers and not putting up an actual, vocal fight. Dems censuring Al Green is despicable.

Based on how much power Congress has acquiesced, is this now "tax season without representation"?
March 6, 2025 at 10:20 PM
I doubt you can get GOP support. You can't even stand behind the members of your own party who are vocal in fighting the fall of our democracy. I sincerely hope someone primaries you, but since Congress handed its spending power over to Trump, Musk, and DOGE now that is probably pointless.
March 6, 2025 at 9:56 PM
You're angry? Seriously? I'm your constituent and I'm angry at YOU for being the only option for opposing the fall of democracy and you told Dems to sit there quietly with paddles like it was a silent auction on fascism. If you aren't actually going to fight, RESIGN. Al Green did it right!
March 5, 2025 at 8:09 PM
This needs to be a case of show, not tell. I'm skeptical that you will really fight for things like our social security when most of your campaign financing is PACs and rich donors. Dems need to show their constituents that they will really fight for the people who depend on social security.
March 3, 2025 at 4:32 PM
They need to fight without being the rule-followers anymore; this administration doesn't care about the rules. Dems squandered yet another opportunity yesterday to show what leadership actually is by doing lip service social media posts instead of actual outreach, including to Zelenskyy.
March 1, 2025 at 9:55 PM
I agree the best time to do something was sometime in at least the last 30 years. However, the second best time is now. We cannot accept that Dems are "powerless"; that gives them an easy out. They need to understand the old rule book they are still following has gone out the window.
March 1, 2025 at 9:55 PM
He loves the spotlight and Democrats shouldn't let him have it for one second at the State of the Union.
February 28, 2025 at 10:35 PM
You are my representative, and yet all I see from you and most other Democrats is lip service about how bad things are. Be a pest, pull out all the stops. Cut riders out of every bill. Stop treating Republicans like they are rational. Show up to local protests against this revolting administration.
