The news just stays heavy these days, doesn’t it? I watch the world around me and just … 😔

But I keep holding onto the images of the helpers I see. Where there are helpers, there is hope. ❤️‍🩹

Not all families use smart speakers the same way.

In our new study, we identified 6 use-types—and found that parents’ trust in tech and how AI is framed in the news are associated with how these devices are used at home.

I’m absolutely disgusted. And yes, I will post this on social media and the Trump admin is welcome to stop me at the border. I’m happy to explain why xenophobia is disgusting.

Widespread layoffs. Hiring freezes. The attack on science is blistering. The number of my friends that have lost their jobs is creeping up daily.

Very curious which countries here in Europe (and beyond) will step up and start offering talent hires.
Telling researchers to keep doing the work & adapt while weathering the storm ain't gonna cut it. American higher education simply cannot survive this systematic dismantling and attack. There's no weathering a category 5 hurricane. Many will simply leave if this continues

It is absolutely gutting to watch my home country fall apart.

My news avoidance is at an all time high. 😞

In case you needed more evidence that social media may not be the thing we should be obsessing about when it comes to wellbeing…another meta-analysis of experimental data showing no link.
New meta-analysis of experiments of social media use reduction finds no evidence that reducing social media use improves mental wellness: www.nature.com/articles/s41...

I've only taken a quick look thus far but this replicates my own meta-analysis from last year. Always nice to see.

Trump said he was glad the world saw this, his interaction with Zelensky.

That is true. It is good that the world saw how Trump and Vance bullied the leader of a country that was attacked and that the US now openly sides with Russia.

That is indeed important for the world to see.
