There’s a vintage ad for Dr. Pepper that recommends simmering it and mixing it with rum, served hot. It’s… well it’s not as bad as it could be an it SORTA scratches this itch. Would not recommend putting the slice of citrus in there, pretty as it is.

Good question! Those seem to be small national parks that are on islands too small to depict on a map like this. What tipped me off in the first place was the copper pin at Isle Royals up by Minnesota (unfortunately, that island is technically Michigan though)
