The natural world can teach us so much about how to exist, especially in times like these.
Some dragonflies hunt—and eat—without ever touching down. Scientists call it “hawking”. Globe skimmer dragonflies can beat their wings nonstop for 8 hours, and then ride on wind currents while they rest, staying aloft for months, and maybe even YEARS.
Oh wow, I just learned that dragonflies have a 95% hunting success rate which makes them one of the most effective predators in the world! Thought y’all should know.

Tonight, one of my undergrads opened up about how their experience with disability led them to take my class. Their brave words at the start of class gave others permission to open up in ways they never had before.
