Remember: you’re working with abnormal physiological systems that have lost the ability to recover and adapt to stimulation. Telling patients to do more on any kind of schedule—externally referenced, symptom-titrated, etc.—loses sight of this *basic fact* of PEM/PENE to the detriment of the patient.

By this metric, gender, race, social status, the condition of your teeth, and physical appearance are all "pre-existing conditions."

Some things listed as "pre-existing conditions" have no relation to potential mortality. Multiple studies were done showing that weight is a pre-existing condition for Covid only in that heavier people received worse care and thus had worse outcomes.

We are not playing the "health is morality" game anymore. We should never have played it to begin with. The whole idea that if you have a pre-existing condition you have somehow earned severe illness and waved your right to compassion was pushed during lockdowns to make people spend again.

I feel like most of the people saying these things are not aware that any prior infection with SARS-Covid-19 is considered a pre-existing condition on the majority of risk assessment tables. If you've had Covid, you have a pre-existing condition.

There's a question I see on here every so often. People tend to ask why the worst people tend to follow us onto "left leaning" social networks instead of being content with taking over places like Twitter and Truth Social.
