I’m Mo Goldman, and I’m running for Congress in #AZ06.

Republicans are tearing this country apart — and too many Democrats are too afraid to stop them. I’ve spent 20+ years fighting for families as an immigration attorney. Now, I’m taking that fight to Washington.

It’s really fascinating what happens when you remove diversity—white male incompetency is placed on full display and with no one to blame for their actions —so they just lie.

A buddy in publishing is trying to runs ads for a book event (nonfiction history of transgender medicine) and Facebook won’t run any version of the ad because it’s a “sensitive social issue that could influence public opinion”. What the actual fuck.

Yes. While there are absolutely things Democrats can and must do to slow, obstruct, etc, GOP hold both House and Senate majorities, severely limiting our options.

Johnson and Thune are handing over the own keys and relinquishing their own power. Even for the cynics this should be a shock.
We all like to yell at the Democrats, but it’s really Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune who are letting Elon Musk and his faceless goon squad make a mockery of their power as leaders of a coequal branch without uttering a peep or lifting a finger.

Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public.

He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

Sending love out to every author who learned that their publisher’s marketing plan for their new book was to have an intern visit a remote woodland in winter, dig a hole in the frozen earth, and whisper their book’s title once, ‘neath the crescent moon.

“Don’t feed the trolls” also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record.

They run them bc people react to them the most.

If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.

It’s not easy and takes constant practice!

Pardoning Hunter is so far out of character for Biden that it’s really scary to imagine what he knows is on the horizon.

Holy shit, Kash Patel as trump's Director of the FBI is such an insanely bad pick, it makes Matt Gaetz and Tulsi Gabbard look like rational, savvy picks.

Seriously, who's picking these clowns, Steve Bannon?

There is this giant property in the Columbia Gorge (12,000 aces) where you just drive through for free and there are a bunch of zebra. It’s rather surprising.

When I was a child, I learned that the Constitution didn’t apply to people like us. I said the Pledge of Allegiance from inside a barbed wire camp, the words “with liberty and justice for all” wholly meaningless.

But I did not give up on America. I’ve spent my life fighting for its ideals.
When we were children, we were taught that no matter how you reached, no matter much wealth and power you accumulated, you were not above the law.

We can no longer teach our children that.

And that's really fucking tragic.

What was so effective this time around was that Republicans were being humiliated by having to defend Gaetz, and the drip-drip of details was making it worse. www.salon.com/2024/11/22/r...
