I'm a librarian, captain of a team of know-it-alls. I like community stuff. I think we should end homelessness.
No one put a gun to their head, but many fans drive in from out of town, and once you're in the stadium, you can't leave and return.

Same. My mom has lung cancer, so there was no way I was taking her last night. It was a money grab at the expense of fans.

Contrary to this note... I am *consistently* disappointed with the United States of America.

Oof! I'm glad they kept you! But also sad you had to eat hospital food for two weeks. 🫤

Only, it's the entire friggin planet and we don't have a choice about sharing it with you, Mr Pool Pooper.

So, of course I begin to replay the climate action incident in my head along with the comments that were made about how God is in control of our environment. (I had invited a climate action speaker to present on libraries taking action to reduce their environmental impact, chaos ensued). . . 2/

He did. He posted an explanation on Facebook. Self-owned that he may have been wrong.

It’s our urgent job to show that people don’t need to choose between caring about the fires and storms threatening their homes and their equally urgent need to economically survive.

We all need to become eco-populists. That means championing policies that significantly lower daily costs while lowering emissions. Heat Pumps for All, alongside much more robust tenant rights; free and better public transit; price caps on green energy; make polluters pay for the transition.
