Today they have crossed a deep red line.

We, the people, must hold the president and his appointees accountable for this outrageous abuse against American liberty.

The Trump admin is fast-tracking a uranium mine in Utah by slashing the permitting process to 14 days, bypassing environmental review and cutting the public out entirely. Projects like this are supposed to go through NEPA, the law that requires environmental impact assessments and public comment.

“It’s amazing that others in this room underwrote electing a man who, in the last week, single-handedly destroyed all of American science. It’s amazing how much good science you can destroy with $320 million and RFK Jr, very fast.”

When you look at the list of institutions they want to defund: libraries, museums, the Smithsonian, public schools, PBS, NPR, archives, you can clearly see that the real threat to an authoritarian regime is an informed and educated public

If you beat a Capitol police officer with their own shield in an effort to overturn a free & fair election, you go free, but if you vandalize an electric car, you get 20 years in an infamously brutal El Salvadoran prison.

I made my calls to my senators asking them to vote “no” on the continuing resolution (they won’t) and I asked the staffer of the senator that answered the phone to let Senator Curtis know we’d like a town hall, to which she replied I could follow him on social media. Social media is not a town hall.

i will say that we have never experienced anything like an administration trying to essentially freeze the activities of the entire federal government while making a series of illegal power grabs. genuinely unclear to me what kind of response, if any, these guys are generating against them

i think it is very Good and Cool for the rule of law that a top staffer is behaving like a lieutenant in a high level drug enterprise
Miller's strategy is to basically overwhelm America with cruelty so that people just shrug and say "it can't be helped."

Today, on the anniversary of the deadly attacks on our nation's Capitol incited by Donald Trump, our Congress will certify the results of the election in which our citizens decided that moral bankruptcy wasn’t a dealbreaker and elected a con man to be president.

I paid 3k for ultrasounds to monitor growths in my uterus last January. It wasn’t in my budget to keep up on the monitoring so we’re just crossing fingers it’s nothing. I was told once I hit my $7,500 deductible, United Healthcare said they’d start chipping in.
They really don't get how much things changed when $5000 deductibles started being the norm for health insurance.

Insurance companies sending us a bill to pay the full cost of seeing a doctor or having an MRI but also trying to tell us that it was "covered" by them. It's INFURIATING.

The only thing I feel inclined to add to the United Healthcare discussion is, when my 7 yr old was in a near fatal auto-pedestrian accident, we had to hire a lawyer just to make sure insurance paid out and to handle all the complicated paperwork associated with that.

After leaving organized religion and trying to make new holiday traditions, we came across the Icelandic tradition of Jolabokaflod, or Christmas book flood. We did it last year and it was delightful, so I just finished wrapping up these for this year’s Christmas Eve Jolabokaflod.

I keep thinking about those paycheck to paycheck “price of eggs” Trump voters who picked a billionaire to appoint other billionaires who are going to make their food less safe & more costly, their medication harder to get, their overtime nonexistent and their healthcare coverage a thing of the past.
