Very strange realisation that one of my patients today was smaller and lighter than my cat. Also strange to think said patient will never know they met us (ambo crew) but we will probably never forget that we looked after them.

You cannot run an A&E like an outpatient clinic, but you can run it like a fire service...

I think all hospital wheelchairs should have locator tags on so available ones can be located and found easily. I must have clocked up a good few miles in pursuit of a stray chair. Meanwhile there’s a stash hidden on a ward getting in the way of the linen cupboard.

What’s everyone trouser / boot preference? I like to have one in and one out by accident just to show my quirky side 🙄

Trying to make peace with an absolutely horrific week of human factors / iatrogenic harm / comms breakdown / gaslighting and unresolved issues. Tried my best but failed anyway.

As it was snowing this morning I brought my mini spikes, hi vis trousers, woolly gloves and scarf, feet warmers to work. I did not, however, remember my belt and radio clip. Needless to say ive spent the day too hot and pulling my trousers up.

A little ambient video of my run this morning (apologies for the heavy breathing). Only other runners were 4 legged. The joys of a 12:00 shift start.

Seeing the snow caps appear in real time! Views from the top of Haystacks and High Crag near Buttermere, Lake District. I fell over twice and had a few near misses 😂

Starting as I mean to go on on this new platform - with pictures of my cat. If the algorithm can also bring me back to ambulance / medical / critical care world again that would be wonderful 😂
