Ryan Coogler, Sinners (and Kodak/Warner) love fest: I don’t go see a ton of movies, I’m not proud of it but there it is. I somehow missed Sinners coming out and only heard about it when all the press came out about Ryan negotiating a rights return (it’s on my mind so it caught my attention )…

You know, I think the artists saying the things that need to be said, unveiling the quiet things that pay check to pay check folks feel - are the most powerful resistance tools at our disposal. I’m paying attention and listening.

We are piloting our new digital accelerator for theatrical IP with Particle, a coming of age story set against the high octane world of esports. At the center of it we believe money has to come in earlier to promising MVIP, so digital storytelling can distribute across the lifetime of development.

SNL is the closest thing to a theatre company screen mediums have been able to create. I find so much inspiration in this work.

I’m never more aware of my vocal training than when I’m cheering for the KC Chiefs in a New York out apartment building. Very resonant. Sorry to my neighbors.

One of the first things I did when I arrived in NY 20-something years ago is climb 6 flights of stairs to interview with Richard at his apartment. It still counts as one of my most prized experiences. What a gift to the theatre, arts and culture.

I am so sad for Swept Away. It’s got me thinking a lot about the elements that lead to such an inhospitable environment for original work on Broadway rn. Difficulty investing at early stages, lack of good, compelling screen-based content that can be top of funnel. What else do you think?
