A prominent journalist who had previously been threatened by Israel has been killed along with four colleagues in an Israeli airstrike while inside a tent for journalists.
Seven people in total were killed in the attack, including three camera operators.

Sorry, Yvette Cooper, that's not how democracy should work. When you make a decision of such consequence, we need to see the basis for it.

In previous cases like this one, going back over two decades to the PKK case, the courts have punted these questions to POAC. It's a measure of how different Palestine Action is that they have not followed this route and have granted leave for JR:

Disappointing & baffling to hear Minister Jim O'Callaghan telling the Seanad now that he hasn't heard of *any* #SLAPP cases in Ireland.

His department is aware of specific cases. Cases have been flagged in the media, on the @coemediafreedom.bsky.social & by @casecoalition.bsky.social.
