This reminds me of the days that the gurus would tell you to set up a bunch of other emails and buy your products from those other emails so you'd have "receipts."

Great piece, as per usual. And thank you for sending out your newsletters on a platform where I can share the URL. I shared this week's post on "making your own recommendation network" in my community.

I was late to instagram for business, so I put up a static grid a year ago, removed the app from my phone, and peaced. I probably won’t delete my accounts, but I’ll certainly never go back to posting or spending any time there. (The neighborhood HOA Facebook group being an exception.)

I loved that piece. I see the need for the digital water cooler, I just wonder if personally people might be pulling back from phones and social media more generally. I can tell my attention is more fractured when I spend time on any social media app, even like a Substack.

Maybe! But also are the people that used to be frequently on old Twitter going to be on any app as frequently? Or will they long to have reclaimed their attention from any of these platforms?

I asked support to enable the ability to turn Gemini Workspace off. It took a few minutes in chat, but way less than the hours it seemed to take people yesterday - I asked via the admin help portal. They told me "it's permanent" like that wasn't a selling point. And it has worked!

Too many of my audience has ignored platform decline - they continue to want to grow their customer base on the ensh*ttified platforms. I’m excited to share this with them!

I don’t set annual goals, not really. I have my arc for the year, and know the 2-3 big levers that change my life and/or business. And then set specific projects for the next quarter.
Like this quarter, I’m rebranding my business and finishing my book draft! All in service of leverage.

Mine is leverage. What can I create or do so that the things I do in my life and business stacks together for momentum. I’m after long-term resilience, which means as a soloist I need to be focused on less, better, and compounding effort.
