Look into Flash Technique. You don't have to explore the memories, but can still get some relief. You actually just think about positive or engaging things during that process

It is a bit different. Also, IDK if you saw my stuff about The Good Practice, but if you're looking for a therapist only community it may be a great place to check out. It's ran by me so no one is selling off your personal info or creating unsafe spaces. It's nice to take that power back :)

I'm so glad that you found an amazing fit! I know it doesn't always work out like that for folks so I wanted to help them feel as empowered as I could.

That would be the limitations of talk therapy. EMDR is a deeper type of therapy that while still including some talking components (as needed) is structured to help memory reconsolidation - which targets the root memories that are causing the PTSD & MDD

It definitely feels pretty off now.

This is the content I need this morning after the gut punch of last night. That crab is adorable 😭

I don't have any of my saved videos. I foolishly believed I would have an hour to get it all together after saying goodbye to my people.

I appreciate you 💜

I feel like so many of us were just guessing as to what would happen, when it would happen (specific time not date). But it did. Hope you're doing ok today 💜

I hope you find the magic and community somewhere as well 💜

That was the most jarring part was that it went dark before we all thought. Right in the middle of talking to a follower on Live it cut out. It was horrible.

The way people were able to find out so much about themselves from the sharing of experiences was amazing.

I was hosting a Live when it cut. It was devastating. I never got to tell all my followers goodbye. Being a therapist I never want someone to experience that abrupt, incomplete goodbye.

So many people feeling this same pain. So many folks who finally felt seen and understood for the first time. They didn't have to feel so alone in their experience anymore.

TikTok was AMAZING for community building. As a mental health therapist I was able to normalize experiences for people & explain therapeutic concepts for them. As a neurodiverse person, trauma survivor, and professional it was amazing to connect w/ the community there. So much grief.

Ovela! I'm so glad some of you all have been able to find me. Were you still on my Live when it cut? I was tapping the screen yelling "no, no, no, no" ughh it was terrible!

I'm so happy for you!!! Thanks for sharing your story and helping to get the word out about EMDR therapy

I know I'm way late to this conversation, but feel free to ask any questions you have about EMDR. I'm a certified EMDR Therapist & EMDRIA Consultant-In-Training who has done thousands of hours of EMDR sessions and happens to specialize in attachment trauma (of which CPTSD is one of those areas)

So I realize I'm over a year late on this, but feel free to ask any questions you want about EMDR
