(this is my read-through to make sure it doesn’t need any more developmental work before i start line edits) #writingcommunity

woke up early this morning and forced myself to sit at the computer despite swearing i’m not an early-morning writer and finished three poems that have sat incomplete in my drafts for seven months. i will learn nothing from this. #writing

OKAY

I've been slacking on re-transcribing my craft threads, so gonna bang one out today

COMMON QUERYING/WRITING MISTAKES I SEE IN THE SLUSH

(for the new chickadees around here, I've worked as a lit agency assistant for 9 years, so I have read . . . a LOT of slush. Like approx. 60,000 queries)

i have a hard time sitting down to write but if i open my manuscript & stare at it long enough, i’ll find something to tweak & once i do that, i’ll think of a new sentence & maybe a paragraph or even a whole page so the takeaway is i need to sit down to stare at my manuscript more #writingcommunity

she’s a 10 but might lash out violently (though let’s be real, they probably deserved it)
#writerchat Describe your main character of your WIP with the, "They're a 10 but..." format.

He's a 10 but the smell of cooking bacon sends him into a panic attack.
