A GAO report gets at some of these issues for Milennials specifically, vs Bbaby Boom or gen C folks at the same ages: high education, high student loans, more debt, less home ownership, less income mobility.

Millennial households had significantly lower median and average net worth than Generation X households at similar ages especialy among those with low net worth. Median net worth was substantially negative for Millennials, indicating that debt was greater than assets. Meanwhile, after sending 3000 Hellfire missiles to the IDF in Feb, now in July we say the 142 Hellfire missiles we promised Ukraine can't be sent because stockpiles are too low. Patriots for air defense apparently will be delayed as well.

As was 100% predictable, Haaretz's reporting on IDF soldiers who say they have been ordered to shoot into crowds of starving, unarmed civilians is now confirmed by eyewitness accounts:

Also, for the infinity-ith time: immigrants in general and undocumented immigrants in particular make communities *more safe*.

If an undocumented immigrant moves out and a US-born citizen moves in, your chances of living next to a violent felon just more than doubled ( 96.2/100k vs 213/100k )

I swear they could make grandmothers look like they were on a crime spree. Undocumented immigrants commit the fewest violent crimes - lower than documented immigrants and vastly lower than 'native-born' citizens.

We need to be better at saying 'immigrants make this community safer'

No, no, Trump didn't just target Charles Rogers because he was Black! He reviewed all 3517 Medal of Honor awards (reading 65 per day!), and simply concluded that this medal was awarded due to anti-white racism.

I'm certainly inclined to agree. Immigration is good, but I feel like even reporters & dems who know better keep implying some connection with crime. I'd love to see more truth: this town in rural _____ is extraordinarily safe, perhaps due in part to it's large population of ___ immigrants.

Here's a fun thing. The UW president sent an email with some good policies & gameplan RE: ICE... but buried in middle paragraphs few read. We used the UW branding kit to make them into a UW 'know your rights' sign, alongside a deportation defense hotline # & QR code for fliers by immigration groups.
A purple and gold UW flier titled 'Know your Rights'. Subheadings are 'No state resources for immigration targeting'. 'Warrants required beyond public spaces', 'numbers to save' & 'learn more' with a large QR code for a know your rights flier. Baum et al 2005 has a great discussion of how pervasive pernicious 'Great Chain of Being' ideas are: even the (abitrary) order we draw trees in is often subconsciously picked to reinforces false ideas of hierarchy: the two trees below are identical in meaning!

Folks are very sensitive to the loose use of 'psyop' in part because official reps of Netanyahu's govt like Ofir Gendelman repeatedly spread the lie that child casualties were a psyop that they called 'Pallywood' e.g. using backstage movie footage from 'The Return'

( I'd happily agree though that the media endlessly discussing immigration in the context of crime (of all thingd) _is_ propaganda, in that immigrant's (legal or not) commit **far** fewer violent crimes. )

I get roughly $2.56 per person per year for the entire National Science Foundation.
