Previously, I would have shied away thinking my work was never going to be good enough and that there are thousands of other musicians making great stuff. But fuck that, I am one of those thousands. What I am making now doesn't have to be perfectly polished. It's what I want to make, that's all.

I've also spent many many hours actually learning my MPC, on top of just how to think about the creative process. Really recommend @jonwayne.bsky.social 's videos, and reading/listening to Rick Rubin's "The Creative Act". A lot of the process (unbeknownst to me previously) is the correct mindset.
