I've been talking about learning to make music for years (think I first mentioned it to Dalia in 2021 or '22) but recently I've picked up a mentor/accountability buddy who I report progress to regularly and the social pressure of admitting "I didn't do any work" has done wonders for my focus.

Added some guitar and upgraded it from visual novel music to 'forgettable background environment music in a JRPG'

Wild to state it like this, but they made me actively start living life again instead of passively experiencing it.

A year ago I met someone really impressive who made me reconsider how I was approaching life.

It took seeing them again recently to really kick that into high gear for me, but it's thinking about our first talk that built the foundation for this change and a lot else.

I passed it on. He just replied "I know 😓"
