This is also how I feel about the modern Lion King adaptation. There’s an attitude that an animated version isn’t as legitimate as a live action version (even if the “live action” is 99% cgi) and I hate it.

This is way why we need to invest in our own media echo system. It sucks that it has to be this way but it is the only way to effectively counter the MAGA movement.
