Apocynaceae is remarkably diverse. I am especially fascinated by the Ceropegieae tribe. This photo shows Orbea tapscottii in the Waterberg, South Africa. This individual appears to have disappeared after a veld fire.

Parasitc plants are fascinating, and easily overlooked. Some time ago I found this Agelanthus sambesiacus (Zambezi mistletoe) somewhere along a road in the Waterberg, South Africa.

Estonia is probably the best country in Europe to observe lynx in the wild. This is the third year in a row that I see these cats around the house.
