Marketer. Avid home cook. Etymology nerd. Dad. Dad joke teller. #pdx

I've yet to find a bar in Portland that won't do a small pour if you ask, even if it's not on the menu

The problem is, incentives are poorly aligned. Lawyers make big bucks no matter what. Administrators are accountable to the judge, so they only have to do a good enough job to be approved. Since there is no per-claimant reward for them, they don't much care how thinly the settlement pie is sliced.

I read all these dumb appeals as a lot of "you can't tell me what to do, MOM." It's a pathological refusal to accept instructions.

Imagine how hard Chomsky rolled his eyes when Epstein tried out his theories on development with him. bsky.app/profile/dang...
In 2023, Chomsky told WSJ about his relationship with Epstein: “First response is that it is none of your business. Or anyone’s. Second is that I knew him and we met occasionally.”

Yeah, and nobody wants to just see photos of people standing around with drinks in their hands. Eager to see what you figure out!

Where are they/will they be? Private Slack/Discord/etc. groups? The proliferation can get hard to keep track of, especially when companies so often want to be the ones convening.

Oh I'm sure. It's just so hilariously bank-centered and not at all thinking about what the applicant. You'd think that with the high acquisition costs of new customers, they'd find a way to get the info they need without making Brian hunt for and not find the real answer to the question.

These forms are absurd. I've seen ones that list "vending machine operator" but not "marketer."
