As a charity, we know that what happened to Jess is not an isolated case. Too many young people are diagnosed too late because it is assumed they are too young for cancer. We hope this training will support GPs to diagnose earlier. Please share. 🧵4/4

It took a private, self-funded referral for Jess to be diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma, cancer of an unknown primary. She was immediately admitted to hospital and, devastatingly, passed away just three weeks later. #earlydiagnosis 🧵3/4

As always, we are motivated by what happened to Jessica. At the age of just 27, she died of cancer in December 2020. In the five months leading up to her death, Jess contacted her GP surgery more than twenty times, yet her cancer was still not diagnosed.#nevertooyoung 🧵2/4

With so many happy memories, we were delighted & incredibly grateful to hear that the society has decided to dedicate their next youth production to Jess & also raise money for the charity. £1 from every ticket sold for their next musical, We Will Rock You, will be donated.2/2🧵
