Happy Labor Day! My mom, Lila, and my uncle, Pete, both retired as a United Steelworkers Union members so support for labor was always part of our family tradition. My mom working in the plant back in the day loading trucks for utilities repairs.

Lots of immigrant bashing across the land—they’re hard working and power through in jobs that are often low paying and difficult. Case in point—my Croatian immigrant great grandfather Karlo Vlašić. This is his Indiana death certificate contributory cause of death factor: OVERWORK.

Well. I participated in three grade level 2025 Jogathon segments today (K-2, 3-5, 6-8) and logged in just over 9.6 miles and 20,000-plus steps if we include Henry’s 🐕 walk!
