So, in May 2023, I reached out to EA; they were good about replying – and said that they hoped to have the station online sometime that fall.

How “long-delayed” are we talking about? Well, the store opened Aug. 5, 2022. And, back then, EA’s 8 charging units in the parking lot said that ultra-fast charging was “coming soon.”

But, alas, it was not.

Woke up to a text message that the long-delayed @electrifyamerica.bsky.social charging station at Costco in Murrieta was (finally) open!

You can’t spell “movies” without “IE,” so it’s no wonder that the Inland Empire has so many Oscar connections – and we found several of them. #Oscars2025 #AcademyAwards #Hollywood #DolbyTheatre

So many great moments/skits on #SNL50. One of my favorites:

Paul Simon: “I sang this song with George Harrison on ‘Saturday Night Live’ in 1976.”

Sabrina Carpenter: “I was not born then ... and neither were my parents.”

Target was a little busier, but not by much. “We started our Black Friday sale last Sunday, so that probably cut down on the size of the crowd this morning,” I was told.

At Kohl’s, which gave out prizes to the first 200 shoppers who entered the store starting at 5 a.m., I was still able to score one at 6:30 (a $5 coupon, not the family trip to Florida I was hoping for). ... Even at that time, the employee at the front door had a couple dozen more to hand out.

Checked out the Black Friday (non) madness at Best Buy in Murrieta, where it was fairly quiet on the “busiest shopping day of the year.” “Everything’s available online,” says one employee – her theory about the small turnout.

What a bummer. My wife and I visited this Shari’s location during each of our recent Portland visits for a classic family style restaurant experience, great service (especially from this always friendly waitress) and tasty Oregon Marionberry pie. www.oregonlive.com/business/202...

The longest “river” entirely in California is ... an aqueduct – 444 miles long and established as part of a $1.75B bond passed by voters in 1960. That beats the Sacramento River by 44 miles.

Alex Garland’s “Civil War” – a smartly written, well-crafted tension-filled journey – is the best movie I’ve seen so far this year. Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura and Cailee Spaeny are standout on-screen; kudos also to writer/director Garland. #BoxOffice variety.com/2024/film/bo...

I know I'm late to this party, but today was my first sighting of a Cybertruck in the wild! ... While it definitely stands out from other vehicles at a stoplight, sorry, I'm not impressed.
