I can’t tell you how many interviews I’ve done alongside Orville, day or night, either on the phone or in person. He’s the perfect sidekick, never interrupting the conversation and always smiling, especially during Popcorn Fest weekend.

Pickleball looks like an easy sport to play for geezers like me whose range isn’t what it used to be. But as I learned on this hot, sweaty court,if you compete against younger players it’s a helluva workout.
Thanks to my niece, her husband and my son for making me hustle until exhaustion.

My favorite quote of the day comes from this guy, Chris, who used to play a lot of competitive sports in his younger years, before two knee replacement surgeries: “Now, I get sore just driving there.”
