I am still waiting for our democratic leaders to truly step up. They’re starting to, but they haven’t shown the true resistance the republicans were so good at during the Obama years.

You’re right. That would be tough on me also. My pension is not enough to keep food on the table and pay bills. I can’t afford to just stop working.

People are saying we have to make sacrifices to fix this. I don’t know what that looks like. Work stoppage is first thing that came to mind.

I think we just entered an actual constitutional crisis.

I feel like something big is coming. I don’t know what. Their playbook has been to shock us and make moves this (taking control of the Treasury). I’m actually having a panic attack. Usually my fears are worse, but this time, events are moving beyond my fears from just 2 weeks ago.
