The result:
If you get too far in the first couple of runs of Inscryption, the screen will glitch out and then Leshy will say "too fast, too soon." and replace his entire side with Grizzly Bears that have the Mighty Leap sigil. I might still have been able to win had I not bought a ton of Golden Pelts and had trouble getting that 99/99+ Ouroborus out.

Started a new #Inscryption playthrough off-stream and...
Holding a Black Goat card with Unkillable, meanwhile there's an Ouroborus card with Worthy Sacrifice on the board. These can loop forever. After many sacrifices looped with the Unkillable Black Goat, the Ouroborus has 99 attack and 99 life.

A clumsy makeshift solution is kinda okay. I think this weekend I'll see about making something robust that doesn't wobble as much.

For this one, I was just attaching the drill to one end and holding it against the bench while holding a rasp up to the wood.
A vaguely cylindrical piece of wood being held roughly level against the left side of a makeshift lathe. The right side has a large wood screw sticking out which I'd spin with my drill.

Trying to make something that I can use to press brass into a spoon shape for melting wax. I have no idea what I'm doing. Be afraid.
A drill with a cylinder of wood attached to it and a shinto rasp clamped to a table partially off-screen. Spin the wood, press against rasp, out comes rounded wood cylinder. The resulting rounded wooden pleasure bullet, with the flat brass spoon cutout waiting to be pressed into shape.

Swapped over to the green polishing compound I use with the chisels and plane irons and got much better results.

Pretty apparent that this is my first attempt at engraving at all, but I think it's a pretty good start.
Initial engraving of my J logo on a piece of brass. Can also see the dremel tool (flex shaft) with one of the engraving bits on it. After some initial polishing with a 300-grit sanding dremel bit (one of those wire brush looking things), I used a square and sharpie to mark the cut on the sheet of brass. After cutting my engraved logo out of the main sheet of brass, I took some time to file down the corners and clean up some burrs. Can also see the hacksaw in the background. Close-up of the ~finished rounded brass square with my J logo on it (a little bit off-center). Can also see the head of the dremel tool with one of the polishing bits, and some of the red polishing compound that came with the dremel tool. Can also see the jaws of some pliers I have with some sticky-backed foam inside the jaws to avoid scratching the brass (to hold it while polishing).

Second attempt went a little better, and I could clean it up with a sharpie.

Been wanting to try some engraving and also been watching Uri Tuchman lately -- decided to try the method he showed for transferring laser printed designs onto brass.

Real acetone would have been better, but for now all I have is dry erase board cleaner.

First attempt went alright...
A bunch of mirrored Jerp 'J' logos of different sizes printed on a sheet of paper. One of the smaller copies is cut out and has already been ~mostly applied to a fresh 6x6-inch sheet of 1mm thick brass. A small hand clamp, a small block of wood, some paper towels, scissors, and a small dust brush are also visible. Starting on that router plane. Remembered a little late that just sawing the sides in a bit is cleaner than trying to use a knife or chisel to cut the edges. It'll be on the inside at least.

Can also see that I marked where I'm gonna chop the other end of the was-wrench.
Marking a piece of oak to to use as a router plane - lines for the width of the tool and the groove where the blade fits. Got a small pencil, WIP router plane blade, utility knife, and square in the foreground. Router plane body with the groove cut for the blade. Have the wood clamped down, one of my chisels and mallet are visible. Also a brass engraved square with my logo on it is loosely resting on the mallet. The router plane body cut off of the board I made it from. I've got it marked to split it into two halves to sandwich together with the groove on the inside.

Got it nice and shaving sharp, and seems at least as hard as the admittedly cheap chisels I own.

If anyone else is having trouble getting music to work in #DevilBladeReboot (and SFX are playing without issue), check your audio settings and make sure you aren't on the super-high-end studio quality settings.

Found this while searching for a way to get audio to play in #Expedition33 (worked)
Going to the properties for your audio output device and choosing something like "16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)" instead of something like "32 bit, 384000 Hz (Studio Quality).

Made a makeshift vise to have a temp solution before I actually make a proper workbench. That and putting some heavy weights on the crappy folding table and it's much easier to do some planing. #woodworking

I could take this a little bit further with a couple of long bolts instead of clamps.
A couple of blocks of wood in the shape of an upside-down T cut in half. Each is basically separate jaws of a "vise". A board in the middle of the two jaws of the makeshift vise. The vise is clamped to a crappy folding table that I'm using as a temporary workbench. Wide shot of the makeshift vise with a long board in it. Just needed something to stand up some wood to plane it more easily. 110lbs of gym weights are on the table to make a bit more stable so it doesn't slide around as mu ch. The board in the makeshift vise after shaving off a bit of the top edge with a jack plane. Got some long, even shavings still sticking out of the plane.

The sewing went so quick I didn't end up taking any progress pics. While it's not very even stitching, I'm still shocked that the sewn-in elastic pen loop came together so quickly and without any issues.

Assembling the new elastic loop was pretty easy.
Inside the two metal butter cookie tins is sewing supplies (of course). Out of all of this, I'm just using some of the thread and the bundle of elastic material. The plastic buckles and cord for that and D-rings are for other projects. The utility knife placed on the elastic cord to hold it down while I cut it. The circle cutter blade is out and I've already cut a piece for the new elastic pen loop thing. Also pictured is a metal ruler and a small lighter, all on the self-healing work mat. In the top-right corner is the pen that the new loop thing will hold. The edges of the freshly-cut elastic piece are already melted with the lighter. Took a shot at replacing the crappy glued-on pen loop on my tablet case.

The crappy elastic pen loop was glued in, and was already disintegrating. It's also really thin crappy rubbery material that was already falling apart.
