Last week we sampled in Cap de Creus to test #eDNA on fish and invertebrate communities 🧬🐟.This technique detects species from their genetic traces in the water,no need to capture them.The work is part of the EU projects #GES4SEAS and #PETRIFY

OceanViz on Unity is coming!! First devised to include any audience into marine ecosystem modelling, OceanViz will soon be available as an public and open-source toolkit for visualizing marine ecosystems and how they change over time. This endeavour is funded by EU project MarinePlan.

The data is in. 2024 was the warmest year on record, and probably in the whole of human history – about 1.6°C warmer than the pre-industrial period.

More than 1 billion individual thermometer measurements, made by thousands of people over many decades, have been condensed into a single number.
