A mudflat on the island of Vlieland, under a formation of clouds, which will remind you of one of Jacob van Ruisdael’s paintings. It’s one of my bestsellers at @galeriewvl.bsky.social and almost completely sold out.

Putin planned to take Kyiv in three days, but he couldn't take Kyiv in three years.
The only way Putin wins now—the only way he finally succeeds in destroying Ukraine’s sovereignty—is by persuading Ukraine’s allies to abandon Ukraine.

Frederik "Frits" Bolkestein passed away yesterday at the age of 91. He was a Dutch retired politician and energy executive who served as Leader of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) @vvdonline.bsky.social I remember a fragile encounter but a very sharp mind.

I like Saul Leiter’s colorwork, particularly this one. Have a look at FOAM Amsterdam, until 23 April.

This new diptych is part of my ongoing series about the Dutch coastline near The Hague. Made on a very foggy morning, three weeks ago. I’ve been waiting a long time to capture this part of the dunes in Wassenaar. More information @galeriewvl.bsky.social

We have to embrace grayness this time of the year, I like it nevertheless. This specific image was made in the (temporarily) abandoned Zoo of Amsterdam. The birds seem to have their own little conversations while the public was gone.

Besides being a photographer I’m a fanatic snowboarder. I like the Alps, from France to Austria. Japan and Canada still on my wishlist. From the Brutbuild resorts to foggy mountains in the morning…. I feel at home. And hooray for the iPhone whenever things occur in front of me. #Kaprun #Austria
