This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.

And upon this insight, he received enlightenment
Band just asked us if we were “ready to rock”, and I realized that the truly transcendent bands do not ask if one is ready to rock—they instruct the audience that they are in fact ready to rock, and then they rock them.

Blisteringly hot goth did my new piercing and when they said "wow ik houd van je make-up" ('wow I love your make-up') I very energetically replied "jaaaa ik ook van jouuu" ('yesssss I love you toooo')

Cycling fast over the roads filled with leisurely Sunday pedests ignoring the frightful tolling of my bell and my tyres smiting their toes clean off because I have a morning hiphop class I need to reach

Let's Have a Kiki joining the strange list of songs that I absolutely loathed up to a point where I will suddenly put it on a loop and then start feeling weirdly impatient when not listening to it.

I have been laughing at this the entire week and brought it up in so many conversations about game design

At first you're like, why does this have a wiki page

Then you find out it might be the best wiki page ever

Someone messaged me, while I was doing my make-up, to ask if it were OK to meet up a little later, and I feel like I have turned a corner and without expecting it entered a calm garden where the grass stirs to a breeze carrying with it the scent of nearby flowers.

After recovering from the flu I went back dancing and I really could tell how much better I have become by just how absolutely shit I was with all the post-flu tiredness and aches.

I genuinely don't understand what people don't get about 67?? Like maybe you're out of the loop but it's not a mystery how a number can become a meme? And even then people have been amazed for months how long can it take you to get a meme??? Wtf is going on????

Secret Santa is an interesting thing for me because I genuinely have never been capable of writing a piece of text that doesn't immediately identify me.

Important update where my father completed the tutorial yesterday and said 'that's enough Factorio for a while' and this afternoon he was playing again.
Checking in on my father who recently started playing a certain game where you built a lot of conveyor belts ("I started playing F-... Fac--- that game you thought was so good a while back") and he proudly showed me a sushi belt. I know he's not online so this is from first principles.

At this point Frieren looking up has given me that thing that Kenneth Branagh said about "to be or not to be" in that I won't be able to see any character from this angle in any comic without immediately mentally playing along myself. Probably evaluating how pleased they must be with themselves.

Watched a video "do you have autism" and it mentioned eye contact and I just dreamed away like "GOD I love eye contact, I can't get enough, looking forward to eye contact with the dance girlies" and then I was like "oh"

I like how disgusting Ballard lets his protagonists be. They're not just unwashed and sweaty, they also deep down inside know they like that, perhaps more than living in a society.

The second Murderbot book has the strangely comforting vibe of a surprisingly good IGF role-playing game but then without me having to constantly do actions to continue the story. Wells also has a surprising ability to write quite conceited stuff that has me going "oh, sure, I can believe that."

Really fun watch, feels like such a companion piece to the @jennynicholson.bsky.social Star Wars Hotel video. It fits the vibe of 'what if we did exciting interaction like in video games but more exciting because IRL' but then also it turns out IRL is a horribly expensive place to do cool things in.
So you made a robot stand up and talk... now what? In this over 4-hour journey, Kevin follows the promise of Disney's Living Character Initiative, an effort to populate Disney theme parks with free-roaming, interactive beings. It was touted as the future. How's it going? Watch here: bit.ly/49C6vng

Seeing my piano and readily (and above all loudly) quoting the venerable work of GloRilla, who in 'WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME' has for me eternalised the phrase "it's got a motherfuckin' piano!.. The fuck going on?!"

Love how the myhouse.wad guide that I was watching on YouTube called these 'tiny sector hot dogs', I do love the tiny sector hot dogs as much as I love any time someone abuses brush geo for props. Its seeing something easily familiar translated into a world that can barely represent it.

There's that mystical point where someone on the brink of death suddenly perks up, feels great, thinks about going for a jog perhaps; anyway I woke up with the flu, cancelled everything, had a really nice coffee, and looking out the window at the road, and like,..

Scariest ride in (Dutch amusement park) the Efteling was when we left the station in a water ride and the kid opposite to me suddenly looks me dead in the eye and asks "are you a boy or a girl"
