Anybody read Catriona Ward? Last House On Needless Street sinks into the mind and spirit like filth into a rag. Unreliable narrators all the way down. Rawblood’s fresh out of the mailbox, can’t wait to start. I think Gothic Horror is due for a comeback in the years ahead.

In times of despair when all is darkened in the shadow of fear, as we dangle our legs over the cliffs of time and look down into the foggy chasm of great and historic turmoil, let’s not forget that good remains, and be grateful for pets, apolitical wonders that ask only love and return it freely.
