Aside from success at once again keeping Restore Trust at bay, there were far too many candidates to make a meaningful selection within a reasonable amount of effort other than through Board guidance.

Clearly the issue here is concern at the reaction of the Trump administration if the UK government takes action on Musk, the satisfaction of telling “this odious man” where to get off vs, say, tariffs on UK pharmaceuticals. Not easy. It s about power.
