Age is not a great fit for experience though. Does a 21 yo contribute more than a 20 yo with 4 1/2 years under their belt?

It is striking that two employers with wafer-thin net margins abandoned their age-based wage rates.

Is their contribution worth less to the employer? Many companies e.g. Tesco and Sainsbury already pay 16-20yos the 21+ rate.

CMA's principles-based regulation is equivalent to seeing a speed limit of 'don't drive too fast' with the threshold decided after you've motored through. Or not.

Yes, and sunk without trace.

It stemmed from a vibe that too many exam boards drove down standards. Seemed a strange position when the orthodoxy of a market requires competition.

The tax return calculates taxable income as after pension contributions so maybe.

I note from the chart that many people saw the start of HICB charge was £50,100 so kept the extra £99.
