I've had a @flightradar24.com alert set for NASA's experimental Lockheed Martin X-59 aircraft for months, so it was nice to see it take off for its first (subsonic) test flight on Oct 28th.
The aircraft design is intended to show how to reduce the disruptive shockwaves from supersonic air travel.

Tuesday, October 28 update. @flightradar24.com showed both NOAA and Air Force hurricane hunter aircraft monitoring Hurricane Melissa again this morning.
Now NOAA's hurricane hunters aboard "Kermit" are flying back toward the storm again after a midday break.

NOAA's hurricane hunters may finally be heading home after spending much of their Sunday flying throughout Hurricane Melissa to monitor the storm's progress toward Jamaica and Haiti.
Like other NOAA staff deemed essential, they have been working without pay during the US government shutdown.
