Only when GOP are in the minority because the Dems don’t use it to their advantage.
November 11, 2025 at 5:50 PM
No one is ignoring the Enemy at the Gate. Millions of people showed up to No Kings marches. Millions more showed up to vote for Democrats last Tuesday.
November 11, 2025 at 2:58 PM
Literally the only reason people want better people in the Democratic Party is so that they can tear down the GOP. Current Democratic Party is incapable of doing that, which is the whole problem.
November 11, 2025 at 2:53 PM
I actually remember you explaining it back in March that Schatz voted yes to play a good little soldier for Schumer because of his leadership ambitions.
November 11, 2025 at 9:32 AM
Doesn’t really matter if you green light enough senators to vote yes for it, including your whip.
November 10, 2025 at 11:29 PM
Take Chuck Schumer’s job.
November 10, 2025 at 11:24 PM
The voters are fighting Trump. They are on the own because the Senate is not.
November 10, 2025 at 9:01 PM
They wouldn’t negotiate. They’d nuke the filibuster… what would force them to do it is their approval ratings continuing to drop, pressure from Trump and from airline donors.
November 10, 2025 at 7:15 PM
Once in power, Dems gut ICE, fund SNAP, ACA subsidies etc. with no pesky filibuster to worry about.
November 10, 2025 at 7:06 PM
Since GOP were blamed for filibuster pressure on them keeps mounting. They nuke filibuster and pass CR, taking full responsibility for what’s in it. People are pissed at this whole regime. Dem base is happy their politicians aren’t rolling over for them. Blue wave in 2026.
November 10, 2025 at 7:05 PM
They’re the Goldilocks of gay clubs!
November 10, 2025 at 6:48 PM
By consistent with the facts I mean the ones we do know. This is the only logical explanation for why the Dems would toss Republicans a lifeline at the exact moment people and Trump were getting really pissed and blaming Republicans for the shutdown, while the base was praising Dems for holding out.
November 10, 2025 at 2:36 PM
Quite… I’m sure very coincidental and not at all coordinated. That said, I roughly agree with this take:

bsky.app/profile/rinc...
okay, so, with Dems successfully keeping anyone up in 2026 for voting for this turd let's take a look at who's up in 2026 anyway:

1. Cory Booker - apparently involved behind the scenes, constantly looking for bipartisanship. I don't dislike him personally but he doesn't have what we need. Primary.
November 10, 2025 at 1:26 PM
The two are not mutually exclusive. Yes, shutdown was a step in the right direction with disappointing ending AND the party needs to be cleaned up and many people retired, by force if needed, starting with Schumer.
November 10, 2025 at 8:03 AM
He wasn’t one of the ones taking the fall. Fetterman, King and Masto Cortez voted yes on CR before the shutdown even started.
November 10, 2025 at 7:47 AM
In this case, Dems caving a few days after elections even though SNAP ran out before elections. Generally, when it comes to politics, I look to see if what people are saying is consistent with the facts. In this case it is.
November 10, 2025 at 7:42 AM
I just want Dems to listen to their base for once instead of their donors and their strategists (who listen to Republicans). I think people understand that there are trade offs and things don’t always work out… but the trust that decisions are being taken in good faith is gone.
November 10, 2025 at 7:16 AM
Two years of campaigning should be banned either way. Other countries can do it in 5 weeks.
November 10, 2025 at 7:00 AM
Their strategists told them to focus on healthcare because they poll higher than Republicans on it. Republicans poll higher on the border and law and order so Congress Dems are told not to focus on it.
November 10, 2025 at 5:49 AM
But hey, don’t take my word for it… check out the ratio on this post…

bsky.app/profile/schu...
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting
November 10, 2025 at 5:34 AM
All they did was piss off their base and make themselves look incompetent and weak. If you’re going to pick a fight, conceding in the middle of it should never be the endgame.
November 10, 2025 at 5:32 AM
Ask Schumer what the endgame was when he made it all about the subsidies…. Because if it was “oh never mind, we don’t really need them”, it was a really bad plan.
