Spent maybe 20 hours this past week learning how to knit, failing over and over, and then it suddenly clicked and I produced 10/48 of the 5 inch squares I need for a sweater. I've also had the supplies for a full year before giving an earnest attempt.

I've been on a FFX YouTube binge. I've always loved how tragic and serious the vibes were and now I'm getting more into the lore. But I still haven't 100% the game because of the chocobo race mini game.

Made a poem about my dog with very little thought in my head.

Today I revamped a glass frame to contain a cool artwork from an artist I liked. There was some leftover brown paper that I decided to try goache on. Look at how cute he is 🥹

Added an entry to my Jot a Lot of Thoughts book. Practicing using gouache with a limited palette is still tough.

I have a small journal from leuchtturm that I hoarded for several years. Finally I am starting to use it!

I'm a fan of dark stories and recreational sadness. I like sympathizing with characters going through loss, grief, struggles, pain, etc. But all the real life events with sadness tears me apart. I need triumphant non-fiction and depressing fiction to stay mentally healthy.

Some examples of drawings I made in my hobonochi a few years ago! I liked seeing these the most when I flipped through. Easy to digest memories instead of reading the entries lol

I'm so excited to fill in the 5-year hobonochi techo! My partner and I are sharing one for 5 years, because journaling daily is pretty hard to keep up with. I'll draw comics on the right of each day and hopefully we can keep it up!
