John Wick can barely crawl to the end of "OO-vuh-DEEM-suh," meanwhile Ani glides so believably through the code-switching & mispronunciations of a person who *knows* the language but never *learned* it. You just don't see that level of care about the Russian language in any American movie.

One night 2020 I watched Gen Z reaction videos to CC till very late. Their emotions unlocked some delayed onset grief in me & I wrote an essay about growing up w his voice that I never pitched, was afraid it was too earnest. This spoke to me that I'm not alone about CC, happy you were part of it
