I'm semi-retired but on my yearly Top 10, the 10 spot was reserved for something messy or imperfect but inspired & beautiful in its own way. Usually genre flicks like UNFRIENDED, THE FIRST PURGE, MALIGNANT but also anything that if it were a dog would win World's Ugliest. You can't help but love it.

Just saw ANORA. Terrific film & want to give special props to Mikey Madison for nailing the hyperspecificity of Russian as spoken by US-born heritage speakers that you rarely see depicted at all, let alone so perfectly. Dunno if it's in her background & if it's not, it's all the more impressive.
